Third LLL course at University of Tirana
Faculty of History and Philology organized on May 27th-28th, 2022, the third LLL course in GIS (Geographic Information Systems), in the framework of the GEOBIZ project – “Problem-based and business-oriented learning to achieve academic excellence in Geoinformatics" co-financed by the Erasmus + Program of the EU. The LLL course: “Analysing spatial patterns of noise in urban areas by mapping”, which was attended by 24 participants, was led by Prof. asoc. Dr. Sonila Papathimiu.

First GEOBIZ LLL course in University of Tirana
We are happy to inform you that Faculty of History and Philology (FHPH), University of Tirana organized the first LLL course. Course Statistical data utilization in GIS applications organized in Tirana, 29th and 30th March 2022 by Faculty of History and Philology, University of Tirana, in the frame of Erasmus+ KA2 CBHE project “Business driven problem-based learning for academic excellence in geoinformatics” - GEOBIZ. The LLL course was attended by 22 participants participants which gained knowledge of statistical data applications using appropriate tools in ArcGIS 10.8 program to their professional field to use that knowledge and advance their professional development. ---

Open day of the Faculty of Technical Sciences, presentation of the study program Geodesy and Geoinformatics and GEOBIZ project
On May 14th 2022, the Faculty of Technical Sciences opened its doors to high school students who are interested in studying at this faculty of the University of Novi Sad. Visitors had the opportunity to hear all about the study programs they can enroll in the 2022/2023 school year. Additinaly, they are informed about the entrance exam, the possibility of applying for several study programs as well as the opportunities for all activities that the Faculty provides.

SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM, WITH NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATION at TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF MOLDOVA - ConsGeoCad 2022
The primary objective of the symposium is to give an opportunity to the Moldavian and foreign experts, researchers and PhD students to present their latest results as well as to meet, establish and cultivate personal and professional relations.

Workshop-LLL cooperation Bussines-Academia with EMA
According 2nd cycle of the GEOBIZ Project, University of Pristina, Project Partner number P14, held practice workshop-LLL focusing B-A. The gathering took place at the Emergency Management Agency (EMA) premises.. In the second round of B-A, in cooperation with EMA, we organised a joint study practice as never stop learning (LLL), with the topic: "Practical implementation of geoinformation in emergency management"

2ND BUISNESS-ACADEMIA WORKSHOP IN PRISHTINA
The Faculty of Civil Engineering University of Prishtina held a Business-Academia workshop together with the Industrial Board within the Erasmus+ Ka2 CBHE “Business driven problem-based learning for academic excellence in geoinformatics – GEOBIZ” project (No. 610225-EPP-1-2019-1-HR-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP). The topic of Business-Academia workshop held on 28.02.2022. was "Challenges and innovative methods of cooperation in academia-business education for the needs of the labour market". The aim of this workshop was the Business-Academia cooperation of stakeholders in geodesy, geoinformatics and spatial technology in all areas in Kosovo.

EO4GEO final conference, May 17-18, 2022
The EO4GEO project, implemented by a consortium of 26 partners, including KU Leuven, University of Zagreb - Faculty of Geodesy and Novogit, invites you to the final conference of the project, which will be held on May 17th and 18th in hybrid mode (Brussels and online) where the results of this four-year Erasmus+ project will be presented. Challenges and innovative methods of cooperation in academia-business education for the labor market needs
We invite you to join our workshop on 28.02.2022, organized by the Faculty of Civil Engineering Pristina and the GEOBIZ Project to present communicate and analyze the practical effects of the connection between academia and business on the economic development of the country.

Training of teachers
In order to help the partner’s teachers to improve their knowledge and use of new technology in learning process properly, additional training event with two topics will held on Monday, 21. February 2022.

Erasmus+ Ka2 Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education, GEOBIZ Progress meeting Pristina, will be held in November 11th – 12th, 2021, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Pristina, R. Kosovo.

The 2nd Summer School of the GEOBIZ project
From 13-17. September was held at the Center for Advanced Academic Studies of the University of Zagreb in Dubrovnik 2nd Summer School of GEOBIZ project which brought together 45 participants from 8 European countries. The goal of the 2nd Summer School was to train teachers and prepare them for the implementation of the curriculum of advanced technological courses in the geospatial domain that were developed within the project. As part of the summer school, the 7th progress meeting of project was held.

Strong earthquakes in Croatia
Central Croatia has been hit with two strong earthquakes on December 28th (5.3 on Richter scale) and on December 29th (6.3 on Richter scale) creating massive destruction in towns of Petrinja, Sisak and Glina, and even some damage in 50 km distant Zagreb...

XIV International conference on Contemporary Theory and Practice in Construction – STEPGRAD 2020 was held in on-line mode on June 11th and 12th. Professor Branko Božić from University of Belgrade wrote, together with Dajana Todorović, Tanja Fržović from University of Banja Luka, project related paper: "Application of PBL model on study program of geodesy at The Faculty of Architecture, Civil engineering and Geodesy at the University of Banja Luka". The paper has been published in Proceedings of International conference on Contemporary Theory and Practice in Construction XIV (2020) (page 434-442).

Copernicus Hackathon Graz is organized by the ESA Business Incubation Centre for Austria as part of the European Union’s Copernicus Programme. It will take place on 15th and 16th October 2020 online! If you are interested in participating in this EO hackathon, get to know interesting colleagues and mentors and compete for the prize fund of 4000 EUR. SWARM Inter-project coaching, webinar
Webinar Inter-project coaching scheduled for Wednesday, September 23. 2020. The webinar is an effort of different scientific groups from the water sector that aims to further discuss water resources management issues met through various implemented or on-going projects. It will involve several speakers from different universities and as part of the webinar, the GEOBIZ project will be presented.

FIRST PROGRESS MEETING IN NOVI SAD
1st progress meeting of the GEOBIZ project was successfully held from 4-6 May 2020. The meeting was held online via the Zoom platform, and the hosts were project partners from the University of Novi Sad. Although in this new format, a number of topics have been covered, and you can see a list of all the presentations in the agenda below.

SUCCESSFUL KICK OFF MEETING
